Do you have a family password?
Sometimes emergencies come up and another adult may have to assist you with picking up your children from school or an activity. Sometimes this adult may be a good friend, but unfamiliar to your child. For this reason, you need a family password.
A family password is a code that lets your child know that an unfamiliar adult is safe. This should be something easy for your child to remember, but uncommon enough that someone couldn't guess it.
Teach your child to ask "What's the password?" if an unfamiliar adult approaches them to pick them up.
